Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – October 31, 2024 – For the second consecutive year, Malaffi, the region’s first Health Information Exchange (HIE) platform and a strategic initiative of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), operated by M42’s Abu Dhabi Health Data Services (ADHDS), has been awarded the Gold Initiative Certificate. This year, Malaffi also received the prestigious Platinum Champion award for Safety Through Digital Transformation.
The award was presented during the Arab Hospitals Federation’s silver jubilee celebration on October 29, 2024, at Conrad Abu Dhabi – Etihad Towers, under the esteemed patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.
This distinguished certificate acknowledges Malaffi’s ongoing commitment to enhancing patient care and safety by equipping clinicians in Abu Dhabi with advanced tools that improve patient outcomes. A recent survey of over 400 clinicians who use Malaffi revealed that 90% believe the platform enhances patient safety and care quality.
Kareem Shahin, CEO of Abu Dhabi Health Data Services, accepted the certificate on behalf of Malaffi. With over 50,000 healthcare professionals having secure, real-time access to more than 2.5 billion unique clinical records, we are enabling safer, more efficient healthcare for everyone in Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, we are committed to implementing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies that will support disease prediction and enhance diagnostic capabilities, aligning with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi’s vision to shift from reactive to preventive healthcare and position Abu Dhabi as a leading global healthcare destination.”
